Mastodon delivered a crushing full festival set as Special Guests to headliners Gojira at Bloodstock Open Air Metal Festival 2025.

Captured on August 10th, 2025 at Catton Park in Derbyshire, England, this pro-shot video showcases the band performing “More Than I Could Chew”, a standout track known for its dynamic arrangement, sludgy weight and soaring vocal passages.

With over two decades of genre-defying evolution, Mastodon's Bloodstock performance displayed the band's trademark blend of progressive metal, sludge influences and intricate musicianship.

Their appearance helped cement Bloodstock 2025 as one of the most talked-about editions of the festival, drawing both long-time followers and new fans to the arena.

Previously released clips of “Blood And Thunder” and “Steambreather” live from the same show can also be viewed below.

The 2026 Grammy Awards ceremony was televised on Sunday, February 1 from Crypto.com arena in Los Angeles, California.

During the annual In Memoriam segment, the show failed to honour Brent Hinds, the co-founder and former guitarist of Atlanta-based heavy metal band Mastodon.

While Hinds – a Grammy winner and six-time nominee – is listed on the Recording Academy's In Memoriam 2026 page, he was not included in the televised broadcast.

Fans of Hinds, who passed away in a traffic accident in Atlanta, Georgia last summer, are not happy with the glaring omission, among them Alice In Chains bassist Mike Inez.

Inez took to Instagram to share his frustration, writing, “BIG party foul Grammys for forgetting the MIGHTY Brent Hinds in the In Memoriam.” After learning of their former bandmate's passing, Mastodon shared the following message: “We are in a state of unfathomable sadness and grief… last night Brent Hinds passed away as a result of a tragic accident.

We are heartbroken, shocked, and still trying to process the loss of this creative force with whom we’ve shared so many triumphs, milestones, and the creation of music that has touched the hearts of so many.

Our hearts are with Brent’s family, friends, and fans.

At this time, we please ask that you respect everyone’s privacy during this difficult time.

RIP Brent.” Out now “Stoned Babies” the first single from VOICES OF EXTREME on BraveWords Records full album coming in 2026.
