Swedish melodic metal band Metalite has announced the release of their fourth studio album, 'Discovery', set for September 25, 2026 via Perception – A Division Of Reigning Phoenix Music.

The album marks the band's most ambitious and cinematic chapter to date, expanding on their established fusion of melodic metal and futuristic soundscapes.

Following the success of previous singles 'Our Time Has Come', 'Starchild', and 'In Case Of Emergency', the band has now released 'Echoes Of You' — a track that reveals a more emotionally resonant side of the new album.

The song, carried by vocalist Erica Ohlsson’s powerful performance, explores themes of enduring memories and the emotional echoes of loved ones who are no longer present.

Guitarist, producer, songwriter and founder Edwin Premberg comments: "‘Echoes Of You’ is one of our most emotional tracks on Discovery.

It’s about the memories and feelings that never truly fade, the echoes of someone who’s still with you, even when they’re gone.

With a powerful blend of atmosphere, melody, and intensity, it’s a song that hits deep and stays with you long after it ends." Formed in 2015 by guitarist Edwin Premberg and vocalist Emma Bensing, Metalite gained early recognition with their 2017 debut album 'Heroes in Time'.

In 2019, the band welcomed vocalist Erica Ohlsson, launching the 'Biomechanicals' era — a pivotal shift that introduced electronic elements and pulsating rhythms, deepening their futuristic aesthetic.

The 2021 release 'A Virtual World' further expanded their sci-fi themes with expansive soundscapes and anthemic melodies.

Their 2024 concept album 'Expedition One' tells the story of a 2055-era renegade team searching for a new world, exploring themes of human evolution, technology and survival.

In 2024, the band also welcomed drummer Erik Junttila to their lineup, whose premiere performance with Metalite took place in Linköping at the beginning of 2025.

Since then, the band has completed tours with Pain, Leaves’ Eyes and the Night Flight Orchestra, and performed at major festivals including Sweden Rock and Masters of Rock.

The new album continues Metalite’s trajectory as innovators in melodic metal, blending cutting-edge sound design, powerful choruses, and sci-fi-inspired storytelling.
