Heavy metal legends Metallica have made a significant contribution to the local community in Cardiff, donating £20,000 to the Cardiff Foodbank charity.
This amount will provide approximately 9,000 meals for those in need, a welcome boost to the charity's efforts.
The donation came through Metallica's charitable foundation, All Within My Hands.
The charity had previously appealed for donations on social media due to its warehouse being extremely empty, with two-thirds of those they fed last year being children.
Cardiff Foodbank supports 20,000 people annually and has eight centres across the city, as well as a mobile service delivering pre-packaged bags.
In other news, Metallica have released an official live video for their song "Fight Fire With Fire," filmed at Puskás Aréna in Budapest, Hungary on June 13.
This video is now available to watch.
The band's next show is scheduled for July 3 at London Stadium in London, England.

Metallica's charitable efforts are truly commendable, and this donation will undoubtedly make a tangible difference in the lives of those they have helped.
