Michael Sweet of Christian rockers Stryper has offered an update on his battle with papillary thyroid cancer.

He was diagnosed last fall after undergoing a biopsy, and since then he's been receiving treatment and undergoing regular check-ups.

In a recent statement, Sweet expressed gratitude towards the prayers and support he's received from fans.

He emphasized the importance of staying positive and trusting in God's plan.

Sweet also mentioned that he's not letting his cancer diagnosis get him down, but instead using it as an opportunity to spread awareness about the importance of early cancer detection.

He highlighted the key symptoms of papillary thyroid cancer, which include hoarseness and protrusions in the neck.

Sweet encouraged fans to be proactive with their health and seek medical attention if they notice any unusual symptoms.

He also shared his personal experience of having a colonoscopy and emphasized its importance for detecting potential health issues early on.
