Guitar Meets Science has released a new mini-documentary exploring Monster Magnet's infamous 'Space Lord' music video, which became the first clip played on MTV's Total Request Live in 1998.

The documentary examines how the band's attempt to create a mainstream-friendly sound led to their most iconic song becoming a massive hit despite initial skepticism.

The five-minute film delves into Monster Magnet's unique blend of psychedelic sounds and heavy guitar riffs, which helped establish them as pioneers of stoner rock.

A pro-shot video of the band performing 'Space Lord' at the 2014 Rock Hard Festival in Germany is also available on WDR Rockpalast.
