After a 15-year hiatus, Australian thrash metal legends Mortal Sin are set to return to the stage in 2026.

Original members Mat Maurer (vocals) and Andy Eftichiou (bass) will be joined by Nathan Shea and Ryan Huthnance on guitars, along with Sydney drummer George Delinicolis of Livewire and Bastardizer.

The band's 40th anniversary year marks their return, celebrating milestones such as 'Mayhemic Destruction', 'An Absence Of Faith', and 'Psychology Of Death'.

Fans can expect to hear classics spanning the band's full catalog on dates throughout 2026, with the first show taking place at Australia's Froth & Fury festival in Adelaide on January 31.

Maurer hinted at potential new music in the future during a recent interview with Metal Roos, stating that while no decisions have been made yet, there has been discussion about writing fresh material.

Mortal Sin will embark on an Australian tour in March, followed by appearances at Germany's Keep It True festival in April and more Australian shows in May and June before returning to Europe for performances at Czech Republic's Brutal Assault and Belgium's Alcatraz festivals in August.
