In a new interview with James Wilson-Taylor of Rock Sound, MOTIONLESS IN WHITE frontman Chris "Motionless" Cerulli spoke about the band's recently released song, "Afraid Of The Dark", which was produced by Drew Fulk and Justin deBlieck.

The track is the first single from MOTIONLESS IN WHITE's upcoming seventh studio album, due later in the year via Roadrunner Records.

According to Cerulli, "Afraid Of The Dark" was technically the first song he started working on for the album.

He noted that knowing it would be the first single added pressure to the track, but also made the creative process more interesting.

When Wilson-Taylor described the song as a blend of modern MOTIONLESS with their old-school sound, Cerulli concurred, stating "Yes, that was the goal." The band's seventh album is expected to release later this year on Roadrunner Records.

MOTIONLESS IN WHITE will embark on a spring tour supporting BRING ME THE HORIZON, including a performance at Madison Square Garden and appearances at Welcome To Rockville and Sonic Temple festivals.

The band's 2022 effort "Scoring The End Of The World" debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums chart and secured their highest position on the Billboard 200 at No. 12, featuring their second RIAA gold-certified hit and first Active Rock No. 1, "Masterpiece", which has neared platinum status.
