After more than a year since their final show, MR.
BIG frontman Eric Martin has opened up about the band's decision to call it quits in a new interview with Brazilian music journalist Igor Miranda.
In the chat, Martin explained his thoughts on the possibility of MR.
BIG performing live again and why he didn't want to continue touring with the group.
According to Martin, the decision to end their touring cycle wasn't made by him alone, but rather a collective decision between all members of the band.
The frontman stated that they had been feeling burnt out from extensive touring and wanted to put an end to it in a 'graceful' way, rather than continuing on indefinitely like some other iconic bands.

BIG played their final show as part of their "The BIG Finale!" tour at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, Japan on February 25, 2025.
The band's tenth studio album, "Ten", was released in July 2024 via Frontiers Music Srl and featured new original tracks written by Martin and guitarist Paul Gilbert, along with André Pessis and Tony Fanucchi.

BIG had previously announced their farewell tour in 2023, stating that it was 'time to mark the end of this chapter of their legacy' after drummer Pat Torpey lost his battle with Parkinson's disease in 2018.
Despite Martin's willingness to perform live again if called upon by their management, it seems unlikely that MR.
BIG will be touring extensively anytime soon.
In a previous interview with We Go To 11, bassist Billy Sheehan expressed his desire for the band to retire from touring and become a studio-only project, which has since come to fruition.
