Jeffrey Nothing, formerly known as Jeffrey Hatrix and the vocalist of MUSHROOMHEAD, has reached a settlement with the band's drummer and producer Steve Felton.
The lawsuit filed by Hatrix in August 2024 claimed copyright infringement and failure to pay royalties owed for his work with the band.
Despite leaving MUSHROOMHEAD in March 2018, Hatrix continued to seek royalties for his involvement in creating over 148 songs during his time with the band.
In the original lawsuit, it was alleged that Felton had not paid Hatrix royalties for several years and had even doctored publishing splits to give himself double pay under multiple names.
The case has now been dismissed with prejudice, meaning it may never be refilled or proceeded with in the future.
Hatrix's statement on social media indicates a positive outcome for both parties, with Felton coming to the table "amicably and honorably" and both parties finding a solution that works for them.
