Multi-instrumentalist Mick Murphy and vocalist Tairrie B.

Murphy have released their ninth studio album, Declaration Of Resistance, after a decade-long hiatus from metal music.

The album marks a monumental statement from the band, with Tairrie B.

sharing an update on the project: \t"Sometimes it's nice to step away from all the noise and reconnect with nature.

We've spent a lot of time speaking out—this time, we're turning inward as we debut our new video, 'Infinite Connection', which enters the ether beneath the Flower Moon to mark the season." The album is not a polite reintroduction but a confrontational battle cry delivered with a clenched fist.

It marks My Ruin's authentically fiery, anti-pious signature: brutally honest, emotionally therapeutic hard truths delivered over dynamically searing, riff-heavy intensity.

\tThe album channels urgency and rage through My Ruin's unmistakable fusion of classic metal, hardcore, punk, doom, rap-rock, and spoken word—grounded in Tairrie’s old-school hip-hop roots and sharpened by ’70s rock influences.

The band has come full circle with their new work without chasing nostalgia or trends.

\tMusically, the album blends elements from various genres to create a unique sound.

Lyrically, it addresses social issues such as government coercion, silencing of dissent, and institutional collapse under the current US administration.

\tMy Ruin stands in solidarity with marginalized communities and opposes all forms of discrimination and oppression.

\tDeclaration Of Resistance features eleven original tracks, including a blistering duet with Jack Osborne of British alternative hard rock band Call To The Void, as well as a closing quintessential feminist anthem cover delivered with unapologetic force.

\tThe album is available now through BraveWords Records.
