In a new interview with iHeartRadio Canada, ALTER BRIDGE singer Myles Kennedy opened up about his fond memories of legendary heavy metal singer Ozzy Osbourne.

Kennedy was asked if he had any favorite experiences touring with Ozzy and replied that one standout moment was during an arena run in the late 2000s where they supported Ozzy on a record.

He recalls how Ozzy's ability to connect with the audience was his superpower, and how it inspired him as a performer.

Kennedy also shared stories from their performance of Ozzy's classic hit "Crazy Train" at the 2014 MTV Europe Music Awards in Glasgow, which was a tribute to Osbourne who received the Global Icon Award that night.

Kennedy remembers practicing the song extensively to do justice to Ozzy's iconic vocals.

Best known as the voice of ALTER BRIDGE and Slash's backing band THE CONSPIRATORS, Kennedy has also released three solo albums, with his most recent effort "The Art Of Letting Go" arriving in 2024.

As a vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter for ALTER BRIDGE, Kennedy is equally accomplished and an in-demand collaborator, having worked with artists including SEVENDUST and GOV'T MULE.

Kennedy's comments on Ozzy Osbourne come as the news of ALTER BRIDGE's latest release has sparked interest among fans.

Their eighth studio album, released via Napalm Records earlier this year on January 9, showcases their signature sound.
