Day one of the Poland’s Mystic Festival got underway in Gdańsk, where thrash legends Overkill brought the heat to a growing crowd after a public holiday.

"Whenever you’re at a thrash show you’re surrounded by friends" noted Bobby Blitz, while Anthrax electrified the main stage with hits from their upcoming album Cursum Perficio.

The evening wrapped up with Megadeth shredding through classic riffs and iconic guitar parts as Dave Mustaine celebrated their new album's success with a framed plaque in Poland.
