British grindcore pioneers Napalm Death have commenced recording demos for their seventeenth studio album at Parlour Studios in Kettering, UK.

Bassist Shane Embury, touring guitarist John Cooke, and longtime producer Russ Russell are spearheading the sessions, with Russell contributing his signature soundscapes to the band's modern assault.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.' The announcement follows the release of 2020's Throes of Joy in the Jaws of Defeatism, which received critical acclaim for its grindcore foundations mixed with experimental elements.

It remains unclear if guitarist Mitch Harris will contribute to this upcoming effort.
