Brazilian/Greek death/thrash metallers NERVOSA will release their sixth album, Slave Machine, on April 3 via Napalm Records.
The band’s latest effort finds them unleashing their inner beasts at staggering speed and with formidable force. The album announcement arrives alongside the title track, a furious first taste that instantly cranks up the tempo and reveals a slightly different side of the band, featuring a catchy alternative bridge.
Slave Machine adds twelve fiery songs to NERVOSA’s repertoire and is available for pre-order now. Commenting on the title track, the band explains that it represents everything they want to say and play, combining layered vocals and guitar melodies that scream their message of being part of the “Slave Machine.”
Regarding the album as a whole, NERVOSA states: “Slave Machine is the most brutal and melodic album of NERVOSA, and we are proud to take this step further while keeping our roots.” The new release shows the five-piece refining and intensifying their crushing style.
Opening track “Impending Doom” builds menacingly with thunderous riffs and jagged drums, establishing the band’s dominance. The album features vocals from Prika Amaral, highlighted by an astounding guitar solo. Key tracks include “Ghost Notes,” a storm of heavy yet instantly recognizable riffs driven by propulsive drums and furious vocals.
Other standouts include the punishing “Beast Of Burden,” the anthemic chorus of “You Are Not A Hero,” and the gut-punch songwriting of “Crawling For Your Pride.” “Learn Or Repeat” blends modern groove with old-school vibes before the album closes on the threateningly sinister “Speak In Fire.”

The album features founding guitarist Prika Amaral as the new singer, alongside Helena Kotina on guitars, Hel Pyre on bass, Emmelie Herwegh on drums, and Michaela Naydenova on drums. With producer Martin Furia of German thrash legends DESTRUCTION once again at the helm, NERVOSA aims to further cement their status as genre frontrunners.
