Nevermore has officially returned to the stage after an extended hiatus, performing live at Wacken Open Air 2026 in Wacken, Germany on August 1. The band, consisting of original members Jeff Loomis and Van Williams, joined by new vocalist Berzan Ă–nen, guitarist Jack Cattoi, and bassist Semir Ă–zerkan, delivered a full set during the festival, performing tracks including Beyond Within, Inside Four Walls, Engines Of Hate, My Acid Words, Born, Believe In Nothing, Narcosynthesis, Moonrise (Through Mirrors Of Death), Enemies Of Reality, and The River Dragon Has Come.
The performance marks the band’s first live show in years and signals a new chapter in their legacy. According to the band, the return is deeply personal, with Berzan Önen reflecting on the emotional significance of stepping into the role of vocalist following the passing of Warrel Dane.
