In a new interview with Hollie Nicole of Teaser Talk, NONPOINT singer Elias Soriano spoke about the band's latest single “Is It”.

The track, released on May 8, serves as the first release from NONPOINT's upcoming full-length album “The Last Word” arriving in late summer 2026.

According to Soriano, the lyrical inspiration for “Is It” deals with guilt and regret over making a decision.

The song is meant to address this internal conflict where one questions getting too involved or doing what they thought was right but may have hurt others.

Soriano explained that this theme resonates through much of NONPOINT's upcoming album.

On the topic of “The Last Word”, Soriano stated that the album is a reflection of the band's growth and renewed focus since their return from hiatus.

He mentioned the addition of Jason Zeilstra on guitar as a significant factor in shaping the album's sound.

Soriano emphasized that NONPOINT aims to push boundaries with their new music, creating a unique sonic experience.

Soriano also touched upon the supposed nu metal resurgence and its impact on modern music scenes.

According to him, people remember how fun it was during the original nu metal era but now find much of today's music lacking in creativity and inspiration.

He hopes that NONPOINT's new record will bring back this sense of empowerment and self-awareness through their energetic and heavy sound.

NONPOINT performed two new songs, “Is It” and “Red Yeti,” during their headlining concert on April 25 at Ritz Ybor in Tampa, Florida.

The show featured support from SOIL and SUMO CYCO.

In another interview with Super Cool Radio, Soriano discussed NONPOINT's songwriting process, highlighting their approach to collaboration within the band.

He expressed his excitement about NONPOINT's new music and hopes that fans will find it both empowering and fun.

The full-length album “The Last Word” is set to drop in late summer 2026, with further details on supporting acts and tour dates yet to be announced."
