A supergroup featuring members of PRAYING MANTIS, DIAMOND HEAD, RAVEN, TANK and PERSIAN RISK stormed into 2026 with two sold-out shows in Tokyo, Japan.

The setlist comprised of NWOBHM classics by SAMSON, PRAYING MANTIS, DIAMOND HEAD, TYGERS OF PAN TANG, IRON MAIDEN, RAVEN, SAXON, TANK, PERSIAN RISK, DEF LEPPARD and ANGEL WITCH.

Tino Troy (PRAYING MANTIS) spoke about performing these songs: "Performing these songs really transported us back to the early days of NWOBHM when the scene started to explode.

Karl Wilcox (DIAMOND HEAD) added: "This all-star lineup knows how to play these songs as they should be played as we've all been such a big part of the NWOBHM movement since the start.

It's in our blood! The shows were a celebration of the music genre known as the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM), which has seen an ever-growing interest and respect around the world for rock music.

This all-star lineup of musicians who were key members of some of the biggest bands of that time came together to faithfully perform many of those classic songs that are now a major part of rock music history.

The official LORDS OF NWOBHM lineup comprises: Tino Troy (PRAYING MANTIS) - Guitar, John Gallagher (RAVEN) - Bass, Karl Wilcox (DIAMOND HEAD) - Drums, Cliff Evans (TANK) - Guitar and Carl Sentance (PERSIAN RISK) - Vocals.
