Ola Englund, best known for his work with The Haunted and Feared, has released his debut solo album, The Neverending Story. The 10-track record features a fantasy and retro-gaming-inspired concept, with Englund performing all guitar work. A guest guitar solo by Jeff Loomis of Nevermore and Arch Enemy appears on the track "World Rift," highlighting the album's emphasis on guitar-driven composition.

The album follows the release of three previously released singles: "The Ember Saga," "Dogma Progma," and "Means To An End." The lead single, "The Ember Saga," dropped on May 27, 2026, introducing the record's theatrical style, riff-driven songwriting, and atmospheric tone. "Dogma Progma" was accompanied by a music video, further previewing the album's blend of technical precision and heavy grooves.

The full album includes tracks such as "Game Over," "The Astral Gate," "The Guillotine," "The First Of Its Kind," "Artax Reborn," and "Sun & The Moon Part 2." Englund performed all guitar parts, with Johan Niemann on bass and Jon Skäre of Delta Empire on drums. Jocke Skog handled mixing and mastering, while Sylvain Lucchina created the album artwork.

The album is available for streaming and in limited vinyl and other formats through Englund's official website. The release marks a significant step in Englund's solo career, showcasing his signature guitar work and collaborations with prominent metal musicians.
