Ozzfest, the influential metal festival that shaped the genre in the 1990s and early 2000s, will return in 2027. The festival will take place at Villa Park in Birmingham, England, the hometown of Ozzy Osbourne. This venue holds historic significance as it hosted the final live performance of Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne on July 5, 2025, during the Back To The Beginning concert.

The last Ozzfest event was held on December 31, 2018, at the Forum in Los Angeles, California. According to Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy’s wife and manager, the festival will return for two nights at Villa Park before expanding to North America. The full itinerary and lineup will be revealed in the coming months.

Sharon Osbourne confirmed that the event will feature a strong focus on emerging talent, reflecting Ozzy’s long-standing commitment to discovering and promoting new artists. The festival’s original mission—serving as a launchpad for new metal acts—will be central to the 2027 edition.

Ozzy Osbourne’s team has also announced plans for a major exhibition showcasing personal items from his career, set to open in 2027. The return of Ozzfest follows a broader revival of interest in Ozzy’s legacy, including the upcoming biopic and increased visibility of rock music through cultural platforms.
