In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ozzy Osbourne's son Jack offered an update on the status of the long-awaited Ozzy and Sharon biopic.

Jack said that they are still moving forward with the project, despite his father's passing in July 2025.

He confirmed that the script is done and they're just making final tweaks, hoping to attach a director soon.

When asked about their top choice for who will play Ozzy, Jack replied that they have someone in mind but can't reveal too much at this stage.

The biopic will focus on the love story between Sharon and Ozzy, with music from BLACK SABBATH and Ozzy's solo career featured.

Jack previously spoke about the project during a livestream on his YouTube channel, stating that they're in full steam ahead and expecting to start attaching a director soon.

In January 2026, he told SiriusXM show Influenced that they're in the next phase of development with Sony Studios.

The film will be produced by Sharon Osbourne and her children Jack and Aimée via their label Osbourne Media, alongside Michele Anthony and David Blackman on behalf of Polygram Entertainment.

Andrea Giannetti is overseeing development for Sony Pictures.

Variety reported back in October 2021 that Ozzy and Sharon had partnered with Sony Pictures and Polygram Entertainment for the film.

Sharon previously discussed her vision for the biopic in an April 2024 episode of their podcast, saying she wants it to be a story about overcoming adversity that adults can relate to.

The original lineup of BLACK SABBATH reunited with Ozzy in January this year for his final performance at the charity concert Back To The Beginning in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

Sharon had previously spoken about her approach to directing the film, wanting to capture the raw emotions and real-life story behind it.

Jack's comments on the biopic come after his family's recent discussion of their experiences in an episode of their podcast.
