Plans are underway for Birmingham to bid for City Of Music status, celebrating its musical heritage, including Ozzy Osbourne's Black Sabbath.
The move comes after Birmingham Council passed a budget that includes an extra £130m investment in council services, focusing on cleaner streets and better local services.
Council leader John Cotton has suggested there is still a bright future for the city, despite ongoing criticism over bankruptcy and a bins strike.
Sharon Osbourne revealed during an interview at MIDEM 2026 that a statue of her late husband Ozzy Osbourne will be unveiled at Hellfest 2026, taking place from June 18 – June 21, 2026 in Clisson, France.
Sharon also confirmed that the incredibly popular Ozzfest will be resurrected next year.
The new classical tour of Black Sabbath's musical catalog, performed by local orchestras, is also set to take place, with Ozzy's keyboard player Adam Wakeman behind the idea.
The tour will feature state-of-the-art graphics and sound systems in major cities around the world, starting at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Meanwhile, BraveWords Records has released a new album from Bangalore Choir, titled Rapid Fire Succession: On Target Part II.
Black Angel Promotions praised the choruses on the album, saying they soar with hooks and melodies that get stuck in your head for days.
