In a new interview with the Everblack podcast, PARKWAY DRIVE vocalist Winston McCall shared an update on the band’s work on new music.
McCall said the band are in a productive writing phase, with strong ideas coming together and new material sounding powerful and intense. He noted that some of the songs are pushing beyond what PARKWAY DRIVE have done in the past.
He also outlined plans for the rest of 2026, including the release of a live album documenting the band’s career-defining Sydney Opera House performance from June 2025. The release will be accompanied by a film capturing the show, with both expected later this year. Another studio album is also in development, though no release date has been set.
Discussing their creative goals, McCall said the band are focused on making music that is impactful and memorable, with the aim of leaving a lasting impression on fans.
PARKWAY DRIVE are currently on their 20th-anniversary European arena tour, featuring their most ambitious production to date. They will also appear at the Sydney Opera House as part of their upcoming feature film Home, which is slated for a theatrical release later this year.
