In a new interview with Rolling Stone India, Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen reflects on the band's 1996 album 'Slang'.
The album spawned hits like 'Turn To Dust', which features a sarangi sample and tabla.
The song was inspired by Collen's experiences in India around 1992 or 1993.
The track showcases Def Leppard's eclecticism, with Collen explaining that they often get inspiration from their travels.
Collen also praises the band for their integrity, stating that many other bands don't have the same level of authenticity.
He notes that this authenticity has helped shape Def Leppard's sound over the years.
The guitarist is currently gearing up for Def Leppard's debut India tour, which kicks off on March 25 in Shillong with a series of shows across the country.
