PANTERA frontman Philip Anselmo has addressed rumors about his health after a series of fake A.I.-generated posts claimed he was battling blood cancer.

Anselmo took to social media on Tuesday (February 24) to reassure fans that he is perfectly fine.

In a video message, Anselmo shut down the rumors, stating "I'm healthy as a horse." He also mentioned various projects he's working on, including mixing DOWN and KING PARROT albums, and performing with his band EN MINOR.

The new PANTERA lineup made its live debut in December 2022 at Mexico's Hell & Heaven Metal Fest.

The current PANTERA lineup consists of Anselmo, bassist Rex Brown, guitarist Zakk Wylde (OZZY OSBOURNE, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY), and drummer Charlie Benante (ANTHRAX).

The band has been touring extensively under the PANTERA banner, including a headlining tour across North America and Europe.

They have also supported METALLICA on a massive stadium tour in 2023, 2024, and 2025.

Anselmo joined PANTERA in 1986 after starting his music career with various bands.
