A newly restored version of Pink Floyd's groundbreaking concert film "Pompeii" is returning to cinemas.

The film, directed by Adrian Maben and released in 1972, features the band performing an intimate concert without an audience at the ancient Roman Amphitheatre in Pompeii, Italy.

Filmed in October 1971, the performance captures Pink Floyd playing vital tracks like "Echoes", "A Saucerful Of Secrets", and "One of These Days".

The breathtaking visuals of the amphitheatre have been meticulously hand restored from the original 35mm cut negative.

The film has been scanned in 4K using advanced techniques to ensure the finest detail, with colors enhanced and every frame reviewed and repaired.

A new theatrical and home entertainment mix by Steven Wilson adds to the film's depth and clarity, preserving the authenticity and spirit of the original release.

Wilson notes that Pink Floyd remains his favorite band, deeply ingrained in his musical DNA since childhood.

The accompanying album release "Pink Floyd At Pompeii - MCMLXXII" sees the performance presented as a full-length live record for the first time, with the 2025 remix available on CD/LP/Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital Audio/Dolby Atmos.

The film will be released in select cinemas and IMAX worldwide, starting April 25.

It will also be available in 4K Ultra HD on Blu-ray on February 27th.
