In a new interview with Josh Klinger of Rock 95.5 Chicago radio station, POISON drummer Rikki Rockett expressed optimism about the band's chances of hitting the road in 2027 to commemorate the 41st anniversary of their debut album, 1986's "Look What the Cat Dragged In".

Rockett revealed that he will pay tribute to the album by performing the entire LP with his new band, THE ROCKETT MAFIA.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the album, which features hits such as "Talk Dirty To Me", "I Want Action", and "Cry Tough".

The drummer also clarified that POISON's proposed 2026 tour did not fall through because Bret Michaels allegedly demanded more money than his bandmates.

"We had a great offer, I thought, but we left the table," Rockett said.

"It didn't work." Rikki confirmed that the band is still in discussions with management about a possible 2027 tour.

Bret Michaels recently stated that he thinks POISON will reunite in 2027 and perform a reunion tour.

"I think '27, without going into details yet, is going to be a good reunion year for POISON," Michaels said.

"I think it's gonna be awesome." Michaels also clarified that the band members are all friends and have been negotiating solo numbers and average salaries for their shows.

POISON last hit the road in 2022 supporting MÖTLEY CRÜE and DEF LEPPARD on a massive stadium tour, after which Michaels went back to performing sporadic shows with his solo band.

In January 2026, Rockett claimed that Michaels was demanding too much money while they were discussing a 40th-anniversary tour.

The drummer expressed hope that the reunion tour will happen in 2027 and emphasized the importance of keeping the discussion between the band members private.

"I don't wanna throw anybody under the bus," Rockett said.

"I'm not gonna do that." The interview ended with Rikki emphasizing his optimism about POISON's chances of reuniting in 2027."
