Poison The Well vocalist Jeffrey Moreira recently spoke to Kerrang! about the band's highly anticipated album, Peace In Place, due out March 20.

This marks their first studio release in fifteen years since their hiatus ended.

Moreira discusses the band's evolution and influence on modern metalcore.

He reflects on the past, acknowledging the band's impact, but also notes that Poison The Well's legacy is now a subtle yet palpable force.

"Hopefully that much broader fanbase of acts like Spiritbox or Knocked Loose will go back and discover some of the awesome bands that came before," Moreira said.

The band aimed to balance their roots with fresh perspective on Peace In Place, writing songs that fulfill what they love about Poison The Well.

With this release, the band is already looking forward to their next project.

"Beyond that? We've already talked about writing more songs," Moreira noted.

Their goal remains making music until there's no-one left to listen.

The album signals a renewed chapter for the melodic metalcore pioneers, who have spent years building their legacy after being accused of selling out by signing with Atlantic Records.
