Austin trio Portrayal of Guilt have unveiled their fourth studio album, …Beginning of the End, set to drop on April 24 through Run For Cover Records.
The first taste of the record arrives with lead singles "Ecstasy" and "Human Terror", both streaming now across major platforms.
"Ecstasy" features a dark official video directed by Craig Murray, while "Human Terror" comes with a striking visualizer, providing a glimpse into the album's expansive sonic scope.
Since their debut Let Pain Be Your Guide in 2017, Portrayal of Guilt have forged a unique musical identity blending hardcore, black metal, and screamo with imaginative textures.
Their subsequent releases We Are Always Alone and CHRISTFUCKER LPs cemented their reputation for fearless experimentation, nodding to industrial, post-metal, sludge, and post-hardcore elements.
The band's most recent EPs and projects, including Devil Music and CHRISTFUCKER II, have expanded into classical and EBM/goth realms, proving the trio's relentless pursuit of creative growth.
Recorded and mixed by Phillip Odom between March and June 2025, and mastered by Will Yip, …Beginning of the End marks the band's third release with Run For Cover Records.
To celebrate the album's arrival, Portrayal of Guilt will embark on a headlining North American spring tour, kicking off with a hometown show at Mohawk in Austin on May 9.
The run features support from pageninetynine, Taraneh, Halloween, and The Infinity Ring on select dates.
Tickets for the tour are available now via StubHub.
The tour itinerary includes stops at Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, NL on April 17, before making its way to various cities across the US and Canada.
