Jeff Becerra has provided an update on the songwriting and recording sessions for POSSESSED's follow-up to their 2019 album Revelations Of Oblivion.

In a video message shared on March 5, he discussed his new approach to writing vocal parts via cell phone app and listening back to see what works and what doesn't.

He also mentioned that guitarist Bobby Cardenas is working remotely to record bass tracks over the same recordings with hidden click tracks, while guitarists Daniel Gonzalez and Claudeous Creamer are doing their own tracks, and drummer Chris Aguierre will put real drums over electronic drums once he's finished.

Becerra emphasized his desire for the album to be "really viable and really good," rather than rushing to meet a specific deadline.

He also praised his bandmates for being honest with him about their work, saying they're all super picky about what they do.

Despite internal tensions that led to POSSESSED's initial breakup in 1987 and subsequent reformations, Becerra seems committed to delivering high-quality music with the current lineup.
