Finland’s metal festival scene has unveiled its first-ever indoor power metal festival, Power & Steel, set for November 5–6, 2027, at Helsinki’s Cable Factory. The 18+ event will feature over 20 acts across power metal and traditional heavy metal genres, with half of the lineup confirmed. The festival marks a significant expansion of Finland’s metal festival offerings, combining international acts with local talent.
Angra, the Brazilian power metal band formed in 1991, will make their debut performance in Finland. British heavy metal veterans Tygers Of Pan Tang will also perform their first-ever show in the country. The lineup includes US metal band Virgin Steele, Fabio Lione’s Dawn Of Victory, Boston-based symphonic metal group Seven Spires, Icelandic power metal act Power Paladin, and Swedish band Insania, formed in 1992. Additional Finnish acts such as Metal De Facto, Dreamtale, Force Majeure, and Strider will also perform.
Power & Steel will celebrate the fusion of power metal and heavy metal, appealing to fans with shared tastes and broadening the festival’s audience reach. The remaining acts will be announced in the coming winter months. Tickets are currently available through Lippu.fi. The festival is promoted by Niko Viherlaiho, who emphasized its dedication to the core elements of power metal from the outset.
The event will offer a range of food and drink options for attendees. Power & Steel is set to become a key fixture in Finland’s metal calendar, drawing international talent to Helsinki’s Cable Factory for a two-day celebration of metal music.
