PRIMUS has released the official music video for "The Ol' Grizz," a track from the band's "A Handful Of Nuggs" EP, which launched in May.

The video marks one of the first new studio recordings to feature drummer John Hoffman, who joined the band in 2025 after winning a global audition called the "Interstellar Drum Derby" that attracted over 6,100 applicants.

Hoffman, a native of Shreveport, was selected for his deep pocket, wild musical mind, and immediate chemistry with bassist Les Claypool and guitarist Larry LaLonde.

"The Ol' Grizz" showcases the band's signature rhythmic chemistry—blending high-speed bass runs, warped psychedelic textures, and explosive percussion with their hallmark mix of technical precision and off-center groove.

The EP also includes PRIMUS's cover of DIO's "Holy Diver," performed by Puddles Pity Party, and two recent fan favorites: "Little Lord Fentanyl" featuring Maynard James Keenan (TOOL) and "Duchess (And The Proverbial Mind Spread)," recorded live at the Mann Music Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Puddles Pity Party is the singing persona of Michael Geier.

The track "Holy Diver" was written by late metal icon Ronnie James Dio and served as the lead single from his 1983 debut album.
