In a new interview with FaceCulture, PRO-PAIN frontman Gary Meskil opened up about the violent robbery he suffered during his July 2017 tour stop in Brussels, Belgium.
Meskil was violently attacked by six individuals who used an ice pick to hit him on the head before kicking him in the face.
The assault left him with extensive injuries, including a broken jaw and orbital fracture, requiring multiple surgeries and blood transfusions.
Despite recovering from his physical wounds, Meslil admitted that he still suffers from anxiety and PTSD triggered by the attack.
He explained that it's difficult to put his finger on how the incident has affected him mentally, but acknowledges that it's left him with a lingering sense of unease and anxiety, particularly when he goes on tour.
PRO-PAIN's upcoming album, "Stone Cold Anger", is set for release via Napalm Records on May 15, 2026.
