Canadian progressive metal innovators Protest The Hero have officially returned with an announcement of their new album, Within.

The album marks the band's first new music being released in six years and features a brand new single ""Mouthpiece"", which represents the beginning of a bold new chapter for the band.

The song is part of the band's most personal work to date, balancing introspection with the expansive scope that defines their sound.

The album Within marks a defining turning point in the band's career as it represents a complete reclamation of creative and business control after years of navigating restrictive industry deals.

Every aspect of the record was executed entirely on the band's own terms, allowing them to maintain full ownership of their intellectual property.

The album's creation reflects that same sense of ambition and intention, recorded across a network of home studios and creative spaces.

The tracklist includes ""Fishhook"", ""Grandfather's Axe"", ""Liberty Spike"", and more.

Protest The Hero will bring their explosive live show overseas this summer for a run of UK and European dates.

The tour kicks off July 30 in Glasgow, with the band performing across major cities and festival stages including Radar Festival, Brutal Assault, and Free & Easy Festival.

The band has built one of the most respected catalogs in modern progressive metal, with releases like Kezia, Fortress, Scurrilous, Volition, Pacific Myth, and Palimpsest earning them a Revolver Golden Gods Award and multiple Canadian Independent Music Awards.

Their albums have consistently charted in Canada while cultivating a fiercely loyal global fanbase.

Protest The Hero consists of Rody Walker on vocals, Tim MacMillar on guitar, Luke Hoskin on guitar, Cameron McLelland on bass, Nathan Bulla on drums, Ben Davis on guitar (touring), Henry Selva on bass (touring), and Matt Kidby on drums (touring).
