A Victorian photograph believed to be the original frame behind the cover art of Led Zeppelin IV is set to go up for auction, reports BBC.com.
The image, said to be the largest and best quality example found to date, features Lot Long from Wiltshire and could sell for thousands.
According to Leo Denham, managing director of Denhams auctioneers, "There has been a lot of interest from collectors in America and around the world." The photograph will be sold today at an auction house in Horsham, West Sussex, listed between £1,500 and £2,000.
Denhams comments on the significance of the image: "For Led Zeppelin fans we are very proud to offer this photo of Lot Long in our February auction," This rare and historically important large Victorian photograph is of exceptional significance as the source material for the iconic album cover of Led Zeppelins fourth studio album."
