The National GUITAR Museum has announced that Ritchie Blackmore, the legendary guitarist and founder of Deep Purple and Rainbow, has received its annual "Lifetime Achievement" Award.

This marks the 16th recipient of the award, which recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the history and cultural impact of the guitar.

Blackmore joins a prestigious list of previous recipients, including Jeff Beck and B.B.

In a statement, HP Newquist, executive director of The National GUITAR Museum, praised Blackmore for his lifelong contributions to hard rock music and his influence on countless other guitarists.
