Björn Strid (SOILWORK, THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA), Dino "Jelusick" Jelusić (ex-WHITESNAKE), Mats Levén (CANDLEMASS, TREAT, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN), Pontus Egberg (KING DIAMOND), Joakim Svalberg (OPETH), Linnea Wikström Egg (THUNDERMOTHER, THERION) and Kee Marcello (ex-EUROPE, EASY ACTION) were among the musicians who performed at the 2026 Ronnie James Dio Memorial Concert on May 16th.

The charity event raised over $100,000 for the Swedish Cancer Society.

The concert featured performances of many of Dio's classic hits from RAINBOW, BLACK SABBATH and DIO.

Fan-filmed video of the show can be seen below.,Ronnie James Dio, best known for his work with BLACK SABBATH, RAINBOW and his own band DIO, died of stomach cancer just over 15 years ago at the age of 67.,Dio was renowned throughout the world as one of the greatest and most influential vocalists in heavy metal history.

The singer, who was recording and touring with SABBATH offshoot HEAVEN & HELL prior to his illness, was diagnosed with stomach cancer in late 2009.

The concert was held at Bibliotek Bar & Restaurang in Medborgarplatsen, Stockholm, Sweden and featured a star-studded lineup paying tribute to the legendary vocalist.,Among those who paid their respects were SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor, Ex-VAN HALEN bassist Michael Anthony, and GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash.

The event was organized by the Stargazer Alliance charity in aid of the Cancerfonden, the Swedish Cancer Society.
