Australian hard rock band ROSE TATTOO has cancelled all remaining shows of its 2026 European tour due to a medical issue affecting frontman Gary "Angry" Anderson.

The announcement was made official via the band's social media channels on Monday, August 10.

Anderson is currently in hospital and the band has requested that fans respect his and his family’s privacy at this time.

The cancellation marks the end of ROSE TATTOO's European touring era.

The band confirmed in a statement that this tour will be their final run in Europe.

Anderson, who is the only original member of the band, described the emotional significance of the decision, noting that the group has toured Europe for decades and that this period will be a significant closure in their history.

The band has confirmed plans to record a new studio album, which may be released in late 2026 or early 2027.

ROSE TATTOO will continue performing in Australia and will hold its final shows in the United States in 2027, with those dates already scheduled.

Anderson has long been a central figure in the band, with his vocals chronicling stories of bars, fights and love.

The group has released eight studio albums since its formation in 1976, including 'Rose Tattoo', 'Assault & Battery', 'Scarred For Life', 'Southern Stars', 'Beats From A Single Drum', 'Pain', 'Blood Brothers', and 'Outlaws'.

Six former members have passed away in recent years, including four of the original lineup.

The band has maintained its identity as the best barroom blues-based rock group in Australia for over 50 years, with a legacy deeply rooted in Australian rock culture."
