Legendary hard rock bassist Rudy Sarzo has confirmed in a new interview with Judy Rosenfeld of the 'Electric Crush' weekly Internet radio show that he is currently working on new music.

This project marks Sarzo's independent release, indicating a desire to self-publish and maintain creative control over his work.

Sarzo explained that his goal for this new material is to create music that showcases his signature bass playing style, while also pushing the boundaries of what fans typically expect from him.

He aims to craft songs that are both faithful to his roots in '70s rock and yet also innovative enough to appeal to modern audiences.

According to Sarzo, even if only a small number of listeners might appreciate this new direction, he will be satisfied with having produced something true to himself.

Throughout his extensive career as bassist for Ozzy Osbourne, QUIET RIOT, WHITESNAKE, and DIO among others, Rudy Sarzo has been renowned for his impressive technical skills on the instrument.

He notably played on many iconic albums, including the multi-platinum success 'Metal Health' with QUIET RIOT and has made notable appearances on MTV videos.
