Finnish industrial metal band Ruoska has released their sixth studio album, Kade, on February 27th.
The album is accompanied by a music video for the title track "Kade", directed by Henrik Mennander.
The story follows a mythical creature known as Kade looking down from a cliff at the devastated planet while bombs continue to strike its surface over and over again.
The collaboration between Ruoska's singer Patrik Mennander and music video director Henrik Mennander aimed to create a cinematic short film narrative, which is a passion project for both parties.
The video introduces the band in a new light, as it serves as a kind of comeback for them.
Ruoska will tour this spring and summer around Finland to celebrate their new album, with Kade available on various platforms.
The band consists of Patrik Mennander on vocals, Samuli Rimmi on guitar and backing vocals, Miika Kokkola on bass and backing vocals, and Teemu Karppinen on drums.
The tracklist for Kade includes "Rampa Ja Sokea", "Kettingit", "Ihtiriekko", "Silti Syntinen", "Ohjenuora", "Ikirouta", "Piruja", "Loppu", and "Sarkajaakk".
Ruoska is best known as a band in Finland, but their music has gained popularity globally through their industrial metal sound.
With their new album Kade, they continue to showcase their unique style.
