Canadian rock band RUSH has announced a full-scale comeback tour titled 'Fifty Something' for 2026 and 2027.

The tour will feature original members Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, with German fusion drummer Anika Nilles stepping in to replace the late Neil Peart.

Nilles, who toured with Jeff Beck in 2022 and has over 280,000 YouTube subscribers, will perform the drum parts for the band's shows, which will span cities across Canada, the United States, and Mexico.

Each night features two sets drawn from a catalog of approximately 40 tracks, including the band's greatest hits and fan favorites.

The tour was initially announced in early October 2025 and quickly sold out, leading to an expansion of dates due to overwhelming demand.

Lee and Lifeson confirmed they did not plan to tour before the decision to bring back RUSH, and the idea of a new tour emerged organically after they began playing RUSH songs again and found renewed enjoyment in the music.

The band selected Nilles specifically to avoid comparisons with other drummers or tribute acts, citing her technical skill and unique background in jazz and fusion music.

The announcement follows the death of Neil Peart on January 7, 2020, after a three-year battle with glioblastoma.

The tour marks RUSH's first major tour since Peart's passing and represents a significant return for the band.
