In the latest issue of U.K.'s Classic Rock magazine, RUSH bassist/vocalist Geddy Lee opened up about why he and guitarist Alex Lifson decided to tour under the RUSH name in 2026 without their late drummer Neil Peart.

According to Lee, it was a natural choice due to the band's history and longevity.

"We were twisting ourselves into a pretzel to try to avoid using the name that we have had for fifty years," Lee said.

The RUSH reunion tour, dubbed "Fifty Something", will begin in June at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles with 58 shows across 24 cities, featuring Anika Nilles and Loren Gold.

The tour now totals 58 shows after initially consisting of 22 dates that sold out immediately.

This leg of the tour will cover Canada, USA and Mexico, while additional dates have been announced for South America and Europe in early 2027.

RUSH performed with Nilles for the first time at Canada's Juno Awards in Hamilton, Ontario in late March, playing a unique selection of songs from their extensive catalog.
