Polish old-school death metal band Sacriversum has signed with German label Fireflash Records.

The band’s upcoming album, Before The Birth Of Light, is set for release on May 8, marking a return to their roots. Sacriversum were previously supported by Last Episode/Serenades Records in the late ’90s and early 2000s.

Fireflash Records founder Markus Wosgien praises the new material as “raw old-school death metal with those incomparable Hammond organs.”

Sacriversum’s sound blends classic death metal with progressive touches and atmospheric elements. The lineup features founding member Remigiusz “Remo” Mielczarek (vocals, bass), Krystian “MacKozer” Kozerawski (guitar), Olaf “Olafsson” Kozerawski (guitar), and Jan “Trocin” Traciński (drums).

A first single from the album will be released on February 13.
