Visionary British prog-metal band SIKTH has revealed a fully remastered and revived edition of their critically acclaimed 2006 album "Death Of A Dead Day", titled "Death Of A Dead Day MMXXVI". The new version, mixed by longtime collaborator Adam "Nolly" Getgood, will be released on December 4, 2026, via Cooking Vinyl.

The remastered edition celebrates the album's 20th anniversary and honors its legacy as a foundational work in progressive metal. The release includes multiple formats: a 2CD set with instrumentals on disc two, an orange and black marble double LP, a silver and black splatter double LP (limited to 300 units), a white and black marble double LP (limited to 200 units), and a white label test pressing LP (limited to 10 units, available exclusively at the SIKTH store).

The album features the original tracklist, including songs such as "Bland Street Bloom", "Flogging The Horses", "Sanguine Seas Of Bigotry", and "Part Of The Friction". The remastering process, led by Getgood, has enhanced the album's sonic depth, with the band describing the results as more majestic and layered than in the original release.

SIKTH's 2006 debut album was pivotal in shaping the evolution of progressive metal, introducing complex rhythms, interlocking guitar patterns, and a fusion of technical precision with theatrical vocal performances. The band's influence extends to modern acts including PERIPHERY, TESSERACT, ANIMALS AS LEADERS, and PROTEST THE HERO. The original lineup—vocals by Mikee W. Goodman and Justin Hill, guitars by Dan Weller and Graham "Pin" Pinney, bass by James Leach, and drums by Dan "Loord" Foord—remains unchanged in this anniversary edition.
