Legendary hard rock band Skid Row has announced a historic partnership with US retailer Sweetwater to find their next lead vocalist.
In this unprecedented move, the world's leading online music gear shop invites singers worldwide to audition for the chance to front one of rock's most iconic bands.
Skid Row marks its 40th anniversary in 2026, boasting a four-decade legacy of delivering some of hard rock's most iconic anthems, including "18 And Life", "I Remember You", and "Monkey Business".
With multi-platinum albums and chart-topping releases under their belt, the band has remained a defining force in rock music.
Now, Skid Row is opening the door to a new era – seeking a vocalist who can honor their legacy and shape the future.
The search for Skid Row's next lead vocalist is not taken lightly, with Guernica Mancini, The Gems / ex-Thundermother vocalist, sharing her audition video via YouTube.
Mancini notes, "Skid Row is a band that has influenced my way of singing alot.
When I found out about the audition I knew I had to try." Worldwide auditions officially opened February 5, with no submission deadline in sight.
Meanwhile, BraveWords Records has released PRIOR CONVICTIONS, the new album by Alcatrazz, which bridges the band's past and future.
Of the eleven tracks on the album, two are brand new songs: "Transylvanian Requiem" showcases Joe Stump's guitar wizardry, while "Stand and Wait Your Turn" is an excellent rocker of a song.
