Swedish metal band Sküll have announced the release of their new single “Who Killed The Rooster,” arriving Friday, January 30.
The track marks a major shift for the band, introducing Anton Darusso as Sküll’s new vocalist, replacing Lars Jahnson on lead vocals.
The song features David Shankle on lead guitar, following his previous collaboration with the band on Wings Of Destiny, alongside additional notable European musicians.
A heavier reimagining of their original track, “Who Killed The Rooster” draws inspiration from Alice In Chains’ iconic song of the same name. The lyrics continue an ongoing narrative central to Sküll’s music.
The single appears on Sküll’s upcoming release Rapid Fire Succession: On Target Part II, due out on BraveWords Records via Black Angel Promotions. According to the label, the album delivers an immersive experience packed with soaring choruses inspired by classic metal of the ’80s and ’90s.
With hooks in abundance, lingering melodies, and raw, high-octane energy, the record is built for maximum volume.
