In a new interview with longtime radio host Abe Kanan of Audacy, Slash was asked whether GUNS N’ ROSES plan to record a full album of newly written material together in the studio.
He replied: “We’ve already written a ton of shit. We just have to get together, go through all the material, figure out what the songs are gonna be, and record them. That’s something that’s pending. It’ll probably happen sooner than later—we’ve gotten all this other stuff out and have been touring for most of the decade. We’ve been wanting to do this. It’s just a matter of buckling down.”
Slash also discussed the band’s recently released songs “Atlas” and “Nothin’.” Issued in December, the tracks marked the first new GN’R music since the 2023 singles “The General” and “Perhaps.” Both songs were produced by Axl Rose and Caram Costanzo (Janet Jackson, Rage Against The Machine), who previously co-produced the band’s 2008 album Chinese Democracy with Rose.
GUNS N’ ROSES will return to the road in spring and summer 2026, touring Mexico and Brazil before headlining dates across Europe and stadiums throughout the U.S. and Canada. The run includes a special performance at Los Angeles’ Rose Bowl, marking the band’s first appearance at the venue in over 30 years.
The tour announcement follows the release of the deluxe Live Era ’87–’93 box set, a limited-edition collection featuring newly remastered audio and updated artwork.
