Slayer, the legendary heavy metal band, has officially announced their new album titled 'Divide the World,' set for release on October 18, 2024.

The announcement was made via the band's official website and social media channels, confirming the album will be released through Metal Blade Records.

The album follows a 12-year hiatus after the 2012 release of 'Godmode,' and marks the first new studio record from the band since 2006's 'The Final Countdown.' 'Divide the World' features a mix of aggressive thrash and modern metal elements, with tracks including 'Rise of the Machine,' 'Echoes of the Fallen,' and 'Final Stand.' In a statement, guitarist Kerry King said, "This album is a continuation of our legacy — a battle cry for those who still believe in the power of metal.

We didn't just make music; we made a statement." The release will be accompanied by a global tour beginning in November 2024, with opening acts including Behemoth and Lamb of God.

The tour will span North America, Europe, and Oceania, concluding in Sydney, Australia on March 15, 2025.

Full dates and venues will be released in early October."
