California thrash metal legends SLAYER have celebrated the 40th anniversary of their iconic third album, "Reign In Blood", with a headlining performance at Palacio De Los Deportes in Mexico City, Mexico on Wednesday, October 21. The show featured the full album performed in sequence, marking a key milestone in the band's ongoing tribute to the release. Support at the event was provided by POWER TRIP.
The anniversary tour continues with a series of international dates, including Oct. 24 in Fort Worth, TX at Sick New World, Nov. 13 and 14 in Inglewood, CA at Kia Forum, Dec. 5 in Bogotá, Colombia at Vive Claro, Dec. 10 in Santiago, Chile at Estadio Santa Laura, Dec. 14 in Buenos Aires, Argentina at Movistar Arena, and Dec. 17 in São Paulo, Brazil at Allianz Parque.
SLAYER's 2025 performances include their only U.S. East Coast show on September 20 at Hersheypark Stadium in Pennsylvania, following appearances at the Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, Kentucky, Blackweir Fields in Cardiff, U.K., Finsbury Park in London, U.K., and Festival D'été De Québec in Canada. The band also played a six-song set at BLACK SABBATH's final concert on July 5, 2025, at Villa Park in Birmingham, England.
The lineup for all 2024 and 2025 comeback shows remains unchanged from the 2019 tour: guitarist Kerry King, drummer Paul Bostaph, bassist/vocalist Tom Araya, and guitarist Gary Holt. The album, released on October 7, 1986 through Def Jam Recordings, was the band's first with producer Rick Rubin and debuted at No. 94 on The Billboard 200, eventually achieving RIAA gold certification for over 500,000 units sold.
