Slipknot are taking a much-needed break after the relentless cycles of their recent albums.

In a candid interview with NME, Clown explained that the band is hitting pause to recharge and take care of themselves.

The grueling back-to-back schedules left him feeling burnt out, and he suspects he isn't alone.

"We're doing the biggest thing we can do right now, which is taking a much-needed break," he says.

Clown mentioned that there are tentative plans for the band to regroup later this month — if everyone is up for it.

Meanwhile, Slipknot's new drummer Eloy Casagrande has offered fans a glimpse into the studio process.

Speaking to Drummer's Review in October 2025, he confirmed that the band is actively writing and jamming: "What I can tell you right now is that we are cooking, we are doing some new music, for sure." The band is working on new material, with guitarist Jim Root hinting at a return to their earlier, rawer roots.

"I want to make a raw album that kind of like, you know, I don't ever want to repeat myself," he said.
