SMITH/KOTZEN, the collaborative project featuring IRON MAIDEN guitarist Adrian Smith and THE WINERY DOGS frontman Richie Kotzen, kicked off its 2026 European tour Tuesday night (February 3) at La Riviera in Madrid, Spain.
The band's setlist featured a mix of old and new tracks, including songs from their latest release.
The tour is in support of SMITH/KOTZEN's second full-length album, "Black Light / White Noise", which was released in April 2025.
The album has seen a huge demand from rock fans around the world for another tour.
When the European tour was first announced last June, Smith said in a statement: 'We've been blown away by the reaction to 'Black Light / White Noise'.
We're extremely proud of it, and to know that it's been received so enthusiastically by fans old and new has been amazing.' Kotzen added: 'From the moment we finished the record, we knew we had something special on our hands.
It's been a joy for us both to play together in the studio and on stage, and to write some of the most exciting music we've ever done.' During an appearance on a March 2025 episode of the Guitar Hang podcast, Kotzen spoke about "Black Light / White Noise", which was released via BMG.
The album features a mix of old and new tracks, showcasing the duo's prodigious talents as songwriters, musicians, and vocalists.
SMITH/KOTZEN is known for their unique sound, blending heavy blues rock with soulful touches and intricate playing.
The band will continue its European tour through February 2026.
